Echoes - A One Shot Horror Comic

Created by Wells Thompson

In the early morning hours after the witch is burned, a sole mourner comes to pay their respects to the smoldering stake, only to find that something is lurking in the nearby woods. Think The VVitch meets Annihilation. A 28 page self contained folk horror comic from Wells Thompson, Olga Wieszczyk, and Konnor Knudsen.

5 days ago – Wed, Feb 25, 2026 at 03:16:39 PM

Hello Everyone!

We put the last of the comic in the mail today and sent out the digital deluxe upgrade (finally), which completes the fulfillment process on our end!

If your order comes in damaged or with items missing, PLEASE let me know so we can try to resolve it! Moreover, if you're having trouble finding your digital downloads (first of all, make sure you've filled out your reward survey), you should also reach out so we can make sure you get all the rewards you need!

Thank you all so much for your support, I hope you enjoy this one shot, it was a blast to make!

And if you're looking for more...

Come check out our newest book on Kickstarter! The Scorpion and the Queen is 75% funded and we'd love to have you join us on that project as well!

The Scorpion and the Queen is a 5 issue adventure/romance comic mini series about fighting for your place in the world, protecting what you love, and rejecting the prescribed roles society places on you. It's an incredibly sapphic sequel mini series to Kickstarter smash hit The Catskin and the Rose that features some of the best queer indie comic artists in the world! Think Princess Bride meets Revolutionary Girl Utena.

Books are here!

Hello Everyone!

This Saturday, while I was at Milwaukee Comic Con, six boxes full of books got dropped off at my front door and, after checking them for damage, I'm excited to announce that they're ready to ship!

I'll be starting that process right away and hope to get them all out the door before the end of the week. It's also come to my attention that we completely forgot to distribute the digital deluxe copies of the comic. Honestly, don't know how that happened, but we're working to correct it!

While you're waiting, I would appreciate if you would check out our newest campaign over on Kickstarter, The Scorpion and the Queen #2! It's a sapphic romance/swashbuckling adventure about two women on the run from a powerful royal family after they fell in love during a duel to the death and decided to run away together instead of marrying the Prince. Check it out here, it's a lot of fun!

I'll send another update when all the books are in the mail!

So excited to announce that the digital copy of Echoes is now available and has been sent to your email! Download it, read it, and if you'd like, let me know what you think! We're really proud of how it turned out and I hope you enjoy reading it as much as we did making it!

We'll be sending the files over to the printer soon, more updates on that later!

Inks are finished!
about 2 months ago – Tue, Jan 06, 2026 at 08:51:56 AM

Hello Everyone!

Olga recently finished up the inks for Echoes which marks the longest part of production complete! Most of the letters are finished as well, but we're doing a final pass to make sure everything looks as good as it can.

It may take a couple more weeks just to get everything ironed out, but we'll be headed into the book design very soon and have digital copies go out shortly after. Once we get to that point, I'll be locking addresses and sending the book off to print! All in all, I'd expect the books to be shipped sometime in March.

Really looking forward to getting your reactions, the book turned out wilder and better than I could have expected and I think you're going to really like what we've got going!

Talk soon!
